1 dead in Tem­ple Hills shoot­ing

Prince Ge­orge’s County po­lice seek­ing mo­tive, look­ing for sus­pect(s) in homi­cide of Dar­ryl Hairston

The Prince Ge­orge’s County Po­lice Depart­ment’s homi­cide unit is in­ves­ti­gat­ing a fa­tal shoot­ing that oc­curred last Wed­nes­day in Camp Springs.

On May 4 around 9:45 p.m., po­lice re­sponded to the 7100 block of Tem­ple Hills Road for a shoot­ing. Twenty-year-old Dar­ryl Hairston of Fort Wash­ing­ton was found shot in­side of an Amer­ica’s Best Wings restau­rant. Hairston was

trans­ported to a hos­pi­tal where he died sev­eral hours later, ac­cord­ing to the PGPD blog.

Po­lice said the vic­tim and sus­pect were both cus­tomers. No em­ploy­ees in­side of the restau­rant were hurt.

De­tec­tives are work­ing to iden­tify a mo­tive and sus­pects. A re­ward of up to $25,000 is be­ing of­fered for in­for­ma­tion lead­ing to an ar­rest and in­dict­ment in this case.
