You will also get information about “available treatment options, including exercise, pain relief medication, minor surgery and total joint replacement” as well as several helpful medical treatments as the doctor discusses medical issues that can lead to joint replacement and information about surgery, recovery, post-operative rehabilitation and other related health questions. The seminar will conclude with a question and answer session for audience participation. The stores are filled with Christmas decorations, toys and gifts to buy. The selections and the prices are arranged to catch your eyes as you read the newspaper, look at the television and as well as when you go to the shopping center or to the stores. And, as usual family members, especially our young children, are already putting in their early request for special items as they begin to “be good.” There are several organizations in the area that are advertising that they will have trips north and south to shopping areas. These trips give you an opportunity to shop at large shopping areas without having to fight the traffic as you drive there. These places have a variety of stores, plenty of merchandise, as well as a variety of choices to pick from. And, you can have fun as you shop with other friends.
Locally, for instance, there will be opportunities for getting gifts in the area. Mount Ephraim Baptist Church at 610 Large Road in Upper Marlboro will have new and handmade gifts available for purchase from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the church on Saturday, Dec. 3. There will be jewelry, home décor, hats, ladies clothing and accessories, personal skin care products and other items for you to chose from. The Mount Ephraim Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry’s presentation of A Holiday Gift Show Extravaganza and Bake Sale will have lots of gift items as well as delicious baked goods. If you are an interested vendor, you are asked to contact Daisy Carr at 301-262-9572, or you can visit the website www.mountephraim.org where you can download an application.
