Church in Chaptico to hold annual fall dinner this Saturday
Hello everyone. Historic Christ Church in Chaptico will hold its
on Saturay, Oct. 14, rain or shine from noon to 5 p.m. at the parish hall, located at 37497 Zach Fowler Road. On the menu will be fried oysters and ham dinner for $20; fried oyster dinner for $16; ham dinner for $10; or oyster po’boy for $8. Fried oyster baskets, scalded oysters and baked goods will also be available.
The parish market will include church cookbooks and crafts. Come out and enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner and a day in the country where you can tour the historic church that was built in 1736. For more information, call the parish office at 301-884-3461.

I would like to wish a very happy belated birthday to a really wonderful lady,
of Chaptico, who turned 97 years young on Saturday, Oct. 7. She was born in 1920 and has lived in Chaptico her entire life. All 10 of her children planned to be with her to celebrate her birthday. She spent sometime recently in the hospital, but I am happy to report that she is on the road to recovery. Miss Bessie, I am so happy that you got to spend your very special day with your children. I pray you will be blessed with many more wonderful birthdays ahead.
