The soil health work­shop aims to teach farm­ers and those who work with famers how to make soil healthy. As world pop­u­la­tion grows, pro­tect­ing and keep­ing soil healthy is one of the key an­swers to feed­ing peo­ple, said Dean Cowherd, an as­sis­tant state soil sci­en­tist at the Nat­u­ral Re­sources Con­ser­va­tion Ser­vice un­der the U.S. Depart­ment of Agri­cul­ture.
