Theft of $5,390 from store al­leged

Ti­mothy Ray­mond Kear­ney, 29, of Tem­ple Hills was re­leased from cus­tody on a $10,000 un­se­cured bond fol­low­ing his ar­rest last week on charg­ing pa­pers al­leg­ing he stole $5,390 in Au­gust while work­ing as a night shift su­per­vi­sor at a Sheetz con­ve­nience store off Great Mills Road.

Sur­veil­lance video showed the sus­pect bring­ing an empty bag into the store’s of­fice early on the morn­ing of Aug. 16, reach­ing into the safe and later mov­ing the bag from un­der a counter, out of a trash bag, and from where it was briefly hid­den un­der a grease con­tainer out­side the busi­ness, ac­cord­ing to pa­pers filed by sher­iff’s Cpl. Ti­mothy White.
