Can­de­laria “Con­nie” R. Car­valho, 91, of Li­hue, passed away on Sept. 2, 2017, at Wil­cox Med­i­cal Cen­ter. Born on Aug. 3, 1926, in Ka­paa, she was a cus­to­dian and sales clerk for Wool­worth.

She was pre­ceded in death by par­ents Al­bert Sr. and Mary Ru­mion, hus­band Al­fred Souza Car­valho, daugh­ter Mary Car­valho, broth­ers Ge­orge, Manuel and Al­bert Jr. Ru­mion, sis­ters Beatrice Billedo, Ger­mina Quereto, Mary Sa, Louise Young, and great grand­son Makoa Keku­mukupa‘aMakawaio­laokalani Car­valho.

She is sur­vived by brother Robert (Alexan­dra “Sandy” Kon­tos) Ru­mion of Las Ve­gas, sons Moroni (Me­laney) Quereto of Keokuk, Iowa, Leonard (Brenda) Car­valho of Li­hue, Steven M. Car­valho of Li­hue, Den­nis Car­valho of Kau­makani, David (Pamela) Car­valho of Wailua, daugh­ters Maile (H. K.) Pang of Orem, Utah, Kepu­lani (Ernest) Wim­berly of West Val­ley City, Utah, 20 grand­chil­dren, 43 great-grand­chil­dren, three great-great-grand­chil­dren and nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews.

A pri­vate (im­me­di­ate fam­ily only) cel­e­bra­tion of life will be held Fri­day, Sept. 22 at Kauai Memorial Gar­dens & Funeral Home. Burial will fol­low at Ka­paa County
