Toshie Daida, 97, of Koloa, passed away on Oct. 25, 2017, in Lihue.
Born on Jan. 2, 1920, in Japan, she retired as a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by husband Iwao Daida, parents Yashiro and Misu Oda, son Brian Daida and brother Robert Oda.
She is survived by son Gordon (Gerhild) Daida of Oahu, daughters Flora Farnbach of Oahu, Thelma (Ned Rose) Daida of Florida, Stella (John) Tippin of Oahu, Debra (Scott Yoshida) Daida of Oahu, Lonnie (Arthur) Oketani of Kauai, and Annetta (Kenneth) Isakson of New Jer- sey, 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Hanapepe Hongwanji Temple from 10 a.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
