Toshie Daida

Toshie Daida, 97, of Koloa, passed away on Oct. 25, 2017, in Lihue.

Born on Jan. 2, 1920, in Ja­pan, she re­tired as a seam­stress.

She was pre­ceded in death by hus­band Iwao Daida, par­ents Yashiro and Misu Oda, son Brian Daida and brother Robert Oda.

She is sur­vived by son Gor­don (Ger­hild) Daida of Oahu, daugh­ters Flora Farn­bach of Oahu, Thelma (Ned Rose) Daida of Florida, Stella (John) Tip­pin of Oahu, De­bra (Scott Yoshida) Daida of Oahu, Lon­nie (Arthur) Oke­tani of Kauai, and An­netta (Ken­neth) Isak­son of New Jer- sey, 14 grand­chil­dren, six great-grand­chil­dren, and nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

Friends may visit with the fam­ily on Satur­day, Nov. 18, at the Hanapepe Hong­wanji Tem­ple from 10 a.m., where ser­vices will be held at 11 a.m.

The fam­ily sug­gests ca­sual at­tire and re­quests that flow­ers be omit­ted.

Gar­den Is­land Mor­tu­ary as­sisted the fam­ily with ar­range­ments.
