DUI … Michael J. McCormick, 42, of Fern­wood Av­enue, was charged with driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol or a con­trolled sub­stance, pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled or coun­ter­feit sub­stance, pos­ses­sion of a small amount of mar­i­juana, pos­ses­sion of a drug para­pher­na­lia, driv­ing un­der sus­pen­sion and care­less driv­ing Dec. 12 af­ter po­lice ob­served a green Toy­ota pickup truck swerve onto a lawn in the 1000 block of Tyson Av­enue at 7:49 p.m., po­lice said. Po­lice stopped the ve­hi­cle at Bradfield Road and Lafayette Av­enue and de­tected the odor of al­co­hol coming from his per­son, po­lice said. Po­lice con­fis­cated two plas­tic bags of mar­i­juana and a cel­lo­phane wrap­per that con­tained mar­i­juana from the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said. McCormick failed field so­bri­ety tests and was trans­ported to Holy Redeemer Hospi­tal, po­lice said. Tests showed his BAC was 0.159 per­cent and had mar­i­juana in his sys­tem, po­lice said.

DUI … James Parker, 54, of West Durham Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol or a con­trolled sub­stance and op­er­at­ing a ve­hi­cle with in­op­er­a­ble rear lights Dec. 16 af­ter po­lice ob­served a blue Ford pickup trav­el­ing with in­op­er­a­ble rear lights at 2 a.m., po­lice said. Po­lice stopped the ve­hi­cle at Bradfield Road and Hester Street and de­tected the odor of al­co­hol, po­lice said. He failed field so­bri­ety tests and was trans­ported to Fas­track, po­lice said. Tests showed his BAC was 0.110 per­cent, po­lice said.

Ag­gra­vated as­sault … Paul N. Lin­ney, 57, of Edge Hill Road, was charged with ag­gra­vated as­sault on po­lice, sim­ple as­sault, ter­ror­is­tic threats, ha­rass­ment with lewd and las­civ­i­ous acts, pub­lic drunk­en­ness and dis­or­derly con­duct Dec. 18 af­ter po­lice were called to the 1500 block of Edge Hill Road for a report of a domestic dis­pute at 8:27 p.m., po­lice said. The vic­tim said that Lin­ney, who was in­tox­i­cated, be- gan to scream ob­scen­i­ties at her, was ag­gres­sive to­ward her and threat­ened to kill her, po­lice said. She left the house and waited at a neigh­bor’s res­i­dence un­til the au­thor­i­ties ar­rived, po­lice said. Po­lice ar­rived to the res­i­dence and made con­tact with Lin­ney who be­came ag­i­tated dur­ing his con­ver­sa­tion with au­thor­i­ties, po­lice said. He be­gan us­ing ob­scen­i­ties and rushed out of the home threat­en­ing to find the vic­tim and bring her back to the res­i­dence, po­lice said. Po­lice asked him to come in­side the res­i­dence and he re­turned, pur­pose­fully slam­ming the front door on an of­fi­cer’s leg, po­lice said. Lin­ney was taken into cus­tody, po­lice said.

Theft … Crys­tal Wil­liams, 22, of East Price Street, Philadel­phia; and Glo­ria Martin, 20, of West Le­high Av­enue, Philadel­phia, were charged with theft by un­law­ful tak­ing or dis­po­si­tion, re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty and crim­i­nal con­spir­acy Dec. 20 af­ter po­lice re­sponded to a report of a theft at Chipo­tle in the 2600 block of Moreland Road in Wil­low Grove at 3:48 p.m., po­lice said. A vic­tim re­ported that two fe­males stole her purse and had got­ten onto to a SEPTA bus that she was fol­low­ing in her ve­hi­cle, po­lice said. Po­lice stopped the bus at Old York and Cloverly roads where Wil­liams and Martin ad­mit­ted to hav­ing the purse and claimed they planned on re­turn­ing it, po­lice said. The purse was re­turned to the vic­tim, but she said she was miss­ing $22 and a Chipo­tle gift card, po­lice said. The Wil­liams and Martin were both placed un­der ar­rest, po­lice said.

Pos­sess­ing an in­stru­ment of crime … Alek­sey Borisov, 24, of the 1500 Block of Stoney Lane, Philadel­phia, was charged with pos­sess­ing an in­stru­ment of crime, car­ry­ing a firearm with­out a li­cense, re­pair­ing and sell­ing an of­fen­sive weapon, ter­ror­is­tic threats, ha­rass­ment with lewd and las­civ­i­ous acts and dis­or­derly con­duct Dec. 20 af­ter po­lice re­sponded to the Wil­low Grove Park mall for a report of a dis­tur­bance at 9:09 p.m., po­lice said. The mall’s se­cu­rity man­ager asked Borisov to leave mall prop­erty af­ter he spit in a pub­lic area and spoke of­fen­sively to se­cu­rity, po­lice said. Borisov was ar­rested and searched by po­lice who con­fis­cated a semi-au­to­matic hand­gun and 40 cal. bul­lets that he con­cealed in his pants waste band, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Christo­pher O. Ross, 21, Rich­mond Street, Philadel­phia; and Chap­pell Davis, 27, of West Dun­can­non Av­enue, Philadel­phia, were charged with re­tail theft, theft by un­law­ful tak­ing or dis­po­si­tion, re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty, pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia Dec. 23 af­ter Tar­get se­cu­rity ob­served Ross cut cell phones from their dis­plays and Davis se­lected a watch and leave the store with­out paying at the Tar­get in the 1400 block of Old York Road at 6 p.m., po­lice said. The men were found seated in a green Chevro­let Im­pala in the Tar­get park­ing lot, po­lice said. Po­lice con­fis­cated box cut­ters and two cell phones from Ross that had a to­tal value of $359.98 and scis­sors and a watch val­ued at $19.99 from Davis, po­lice said. Davis, the driver of the ve­hi­cle, was also charged with pos­ses­sion of a small amount of mar­i­juana af­ter po­lice con­fis­cated a mar­i­juana cig­a­rette, a plas­tic bag and glass vile con­tain­ing sus­pected mar­i­juana, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Ha­neefah S. Hop­kins-Bey, 20, of Has­brook Av­enue, Philadel­phia; and Bryanna J. Dar­gan-Turner, 19, of West Al­legheny Av­enue, Philadel­phia, were charged with re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Dec. 24 af­ter Bloom­ing­dale’s se­cu­rity ob­served Hop­kins-Bey and Dar­ganTurner se­lect and con­ceal $450 worth of mer­chan­dise each and leave the store with­out paying at 12:25 p.m. at the Bloom­ing­dale’s in the Wil­low Grove Park mall, po­lice said. Bloom­ing­dale’s se­cu­rity at­tempted to stop the sus­pects and Hop­kins-Bey dropped the mer­chan­dise and fled through the mall park­ing lot, po­lice said. Both women later ad­mit­ted to steal­ing the mer­chan­dise, po­lice said.

Ag­gra­vated as­sault … Ken­neth Harbin, 27, of North 10th Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with ag­gra­vated as­sault, sim­ple as­sault, re­sist­ing ar­rest, ha­rass­ment, dis­or­derly con­duct, driv­ing with­out a li­cense, driv­ing un­der sus­pen­sion, op­er­at­ing a ve­hi­cle with­out a cer­tifi­cate of in­spec­tion and re­lated charges Dec. 26 af­ter po­lice ob­served a gold Mer­cury be­ing op­er­ated in the park­ing lot of the Wil­low Grove Park mall with ex­pired in­spec­tion stick­ers and darkly tinted win­dows, which made it dif­fi­cult for au­thor­i­ties to see in­side the ve­hi­cle, at 2:04 p.m., po­lice said. When po­lice stopped and ap­proached the ve­hi­cle, Harbin, the driver of the ve­hi­cle, ex­ited the car and re­fused to re-en­ter the ve­hi­cle at po­lice re­quest, po­lice said. When po­lice asked Harbin for his li­cense, he yelled ob­scen­i­ties at po­lice and said he did not have a li­cense, po­lice said. Po­lice stopped Harbin and asked him to put his hands be­hind his back, but he be­gan fight­ing with po­lice and kicked an of­fi­cer, po­lice said. When po­lice were able to get him hand­cuffed, he con­tin­ued to re­sist ar­rest un­til he was placed into the pa­trol ve­hi­cle, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Michael J. Walker, 25, of North 13th Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Dec. 30 af­ter Kmart se­cu­rity ob­served him se­lect $202.21 worth of mer­chan­dise, con­ceal the items and leave the store with­out paying at the Kmart in the 2400 block of Moreland Road, po­lice said. Walker boarded a SEPTA bus at the Wil­low Grove Park mall bus de­pot at 2:15 p.m., po­lice said. Po­lice boarded the bus, which was still idling in the de­pot, and de­tained Walker, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Macy’s Em­ployee Rah­mid N. Trot­man, 22, of Cedar­brook Av­enue, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Dec. 26 af­ter Macy’s se­cu­rity ob­served him se­lect a sweater and print a ticket for the sweater that stated it was worth $29.99 and not the ac­tual price of $189, po­lice said. Trot­man made two at­tempts to pur­chase the sweater, but the sale’s clerks de­nied the trans­ac­tions be­cause the price was not ac­cu­rate, po­lice said. He made a third at­tempt to pur­chase the sweater, and an­other em­ployee made the sale and Trot­man made no at­tempt to pay the re­main­ing $159.01 that was owed, po­lice said. Trot­man was later stopped by se­cu­rity and ad­mit­ted to the theft, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Laura Cosma, 23, of Glouster Road, Fair­less Hills, was cited with re­tail theft Dec. 21 af­ter JC Pen­ney se­cu­rity ob­served her con­ceal $25 worth of mer­chan­dise and exit the store with­out paying at the JC Pen­ney in the Wil­low Grove Park mall at 9:02 p.m., po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … John Nel­son, 48, of Cor­nelius Street, Philadel­phia, was cited with re­tail theft Dec. 23 af­ter Kmart se­cu­rity ob­served him se­lect $79 worth of mer­chan­dise, put them in a dag and leave the store with­out paying for the items at 1:46 p.m. at the Kmart in the 2400 block of Moreland Road, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Sierra Gask­inRodgers, 21, of Warnock Street, Philadel­phia, was cited with re­tail theft and dis­or­derly con­duct Dec. 23 af­ter JC Pen­ney se­cu­rity ob­served her con­ceal $149 worth of mer­chan­dise, con­ceal the items in a plas­tic bag and at­tempted to leave the store with­out paying at the JC Pen­ney in the Wil­low Grove Park mall at 10:29 p.m., po­lice said. When con­fronted about the theft Gaskin-Rodgers briefly strug­gled with se­cu­rity be­fore be­ing taken into cus­tody, po­lice said.

Dis­or­derly con­duct … Bri­anna Tull, 23, of West Grange Av­enue, Philadel­phia, was cited with dis­or­derly con­duct Dec. 28 af­ter po­lice stopped her in the al­ley of the Fair­way Shop­ping Cen­ter in the 1800 block of Limekiln Pike at 5:30 p.m. and found Tull to be in pos­ses­sion of a small amount of mar­i­juana, po­lice said.

Theft … A pair of youth size black Nike sneak­ers with red bot­toms, val­ued at $50, was re­ported stolen Jan. 10 from a ve­hi­cle parked in the 1900 block of West Chel­tenham Av­enue, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … A home in the 400 block of Mon­tier Road was found at 3:18 p.m. Jan. 10 with a win­dow and door open, but noth­ing ap­peared to have been taken, po­lice said.

Theft … A woman re­ported Jan. 10 that she left her wal­let, which con­tained about $100, credit cards and per­sonal items, in a cart at Path­mark, 1000 S. Eas­ton Road, and when she went back for it, around 4:35 p.m., it was gone, po­lice said.

Drug charges … Harry Bernard, 35, and Austin John­son, 42, both of the 900 block of East Price Street, Philadel­phia, were charged with pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance with in­tent to de­liver Jan. 12, po­lice said, fol­low­ing a stop in the 8200 El­RFN RI 2JRnWz $Yenue at 3 p.m. The two were in pos­ses­sion of 4 ounces of mar­i­juana, which has a street value of about $1,400, po­lice said.

Em­bez­zle­ment … Kath­leen Ellsworth, 42, of the 2100 block of Faunce Street, Philadel­phia, has been charged with fail­ure to make proper dis­po­si­tion, mis­ap­pli­ca­tion of funds and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty for al­legedly steal­ing $27,499.68 from her former em­ployer, Pre­mier Group, 106 Cen­tral Ave., wKLFK UHSRUWHG WKH WKHIW 2FW. 26, po­lice said. Ha­rass­ment … 2n -Dn. 14 at 6:57 p.m. Mark Rozdziel­ski, 25, of the 2900 block of Knorr Street, Philadel­phia, was cited for ha­rass­ment for an in­ci­dent in the Betharyes Shop­ping Cen­ter, po­lice said.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, while pick­ing up his son from his mother, he be­came irate with her and grabbed her phone while she was call­ing po­lice.

He will be cited by mail, po­lice said.

Fraud … 2n -Dn. 13 DW 8:20 p.m. a res­i­dent of the 100 block of Pheas­ant Lane re­ported that she was a vic­tim of iden­tity theft. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the woman dis­cov­ered some­one was open­ing up a phone ac­count in New Yor state us­ing her So­cial Se­cu­rity card.

SRlice re­sponded to 650 Welsh Road for a report of a sus­pi­cious man who was beg­ging for money, po­lice said. rpon ar­rival po­lice found Melvin Dunn, 49, of the 6400 block of 20th Street, Philadel­phia, who stated he needed money for the bus to get back home, po­lice said.

While speak­ing with Dunn po­lice said he ap­peared in­tox­i­cated. A PBT re­vealed a 0.17 per­cent BAC, po­lice said, and was cited at the scene.

Crim­i­nal mis­chief … A vic­tim re­ported that his ve­hi­cle, a Chevro­let Equinox, was scratched or keyed on the driver’s side while parked in the 500 block of Mont­gomery Av­enue Dec. 23, po­lice said.

Crim­i­nal mis­chief … A vic­tim re­ported that an un­known per­son placed a pe­tro­leum jelly like sub­stance on door han­dle of their Pan­tiac Grand Am Dec. 29 while it was parked in the 100 block of North Syl­va­nia Av­enue, po­lice said.

Crim­i­nal mis­chief … A vic­tim re­ported that than un­known per­son slashed the tire on her Jeep Chero­kee while parked in the 100 block of North Syl­va­nia Av­enue Jan. 1, po­lice said.

DUI … Do­minic R. Baker, 53, of the 2500 block of Fet­ters Mill Road, Bryn Athyn, was ar­rested for driv­ing unGHU WhH Ln­fluHnFH RI DlFRhRl Jan. 2 af­ter po­lice ob­served a Ford pickup sit­ting at the in­ter­sec­tion of Shady Lane and Huntingdon Pike when the WUDI­fiF VLJnDl WuUnHG JUHHn, ob­served the ve­hi­cle weav­ing across the dou­ble yel­low lines on the road­way and ob­served the ve­hi­cle drive onto the curb in the 800 block of Cedar Road at 2:37 a.m., po­lice said. Po­lice stopped the ve­hi­cle and de­tected the strong odor of al­co­hol coming from Baker, po­lice said. HH IDLlHG fiHlG VREULHWy WHVWV and was taken into cus­tody, po­lice said.

DUI … Pa­tri­cia E. McCaf­frey, 45, of the 300 block of Huntingdon Pike, was ar­rested for driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol Jan. 4 af­ter po­lice ob­served a Jeep Wran­gler trav­el­ing ap­prox­i­mately 15 mph be­low the speed limit, swerve on the road­way and strike the Lawn­view Ceme­tery fence in the 500 block of Huntingdon Pike when the ve­hi­cle turned into the ceme­tery drive­way at 3: 25 a. m., po­lice said. Po­lice stopped the ve­hi­cle and de­tected the strong odor of al­co­hol coming from McCaf­frey’s per­son, po­lice said. He failed field so­bri­ety tests and was taken into cus­tody, po­lice said.

War­rant … Christina Marinelli, 33, Rob­bins Av­enue, Jenk­in­town, was ar­rested Dec. 15 for a se­ries of out­stand­ing war­rants for fraud, forgery and iden­tity theft charges, po­lice said. She was also wanted by the Abing­ton Town­ship Po­lice De­part­ment for drug pos­ses­sion, po­lice said.

Dis­or­derly con­duct … Matthew Lazar, 25, of the 1000 block of Stan­wood Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with dis­or­derly con­duct and pub­lic drunk­en­ness Dec. 23 af­ter po­lice ob­served Lazar uri­nat­ing on the wall of Breen’s Tav­ern in the 700 block of Huntingdon Pike at 1:35 a.m., po­lice said.

DUI … James G. rlmer, 51, of the 100 block of 3rd Street, Feasterville, was ar­rested for driv­ing un­der the Ln­fluHnFH RI DlFRhRl -Dn. 8 af­ter po­lice ob­served a Jeep Lib­erty swerv­ing and un­nec­es­sar­ily ap­ply­ing the brakes on Huntingdon Pike at 1:15 a.m., po­lice said. The ve­hi­cle was stopped and po­lice de­tected the odor of al­co­hol coming from rlmer’s per­son and ob­served that he had glassy, blood­shot eyes, po­lice said. HH IDLlHG fiHlG VREULHWy tests and was trans­ported to the rp­per Moreland Po­lice De­part­ment for breath tests, po­lice said. Tests showed his BAC was 0.207 per­cent, po­lice said.
