Election set for Lower Moreland
Lower Moreland residents cast their votes for the primary election May 21 and decided who they would like to see in the general election for the board of commissioners and board of school directors.
Republican newcomer Dan Heller is running against Democrat incumbent Jill Blumhardt for the Ward 2 commissioner seat. Democrat newcomer Sane Adam Leckerman is running against Republican incumbent Ferdinand Gonzales for the Ward 4 seat.
Democrat Commissioner Denise Kuritz is running unopposed for the Ward 6 seat.
All candidates for the commissioners seats will move forward to the general election.
Current school board member Barbara Breitman has decided to not run, so her seat is up for election. In addition, three other seats are up for election. Incumbents Steven Geiger and Michael Mueller will run on both Democratic and Republican tickets, while incumbent Nathan Murawsky will run on the Democratic ticket.
Newcomer Howard Patent will appear on both ballots in the fall election, while Lance Wolbransky will appear on the Republican ticket.

• GHLJHr rHFHLvHG 23.75 SHrcent of the Democratic votes and 26.06 of the Republican votes;
• 0uHllHr rHFHLvHG 21.25 RI WKH Democratic votes and 26.76 percent of the Republican votes;
• 3DWHnW rHFHLvHG 17.5 SHrFHnW of the Democratic votes and 21.13 percent of the Republican votes;
• :RlErDnsNy rHFHLvHG 14.79 percent of the Republican votes, while Murawsky received 30 percent of the Democratic votes.
