A wake service was held on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David BuQFK RIfiFLDWLQJ.
Mr. Carney passed away VuUURuQGHG Ey KLV ORYLQJ wLIH, FKLOGUHQ DQG JUDQGchildren on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Oklahoma CLWy, 2NOD., DIWHU D ORQJ illness due to brain anoxia.
Jim was born on March 1, 1948, LQ AELQJWRQ, 3D., to Thomas and Louisa (D’AJuQWD) CDUQHy. HH JUHw uS LQ APEOHU, 3D., where he attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School DQG KH JUDGuDWHG IURP St. Matthew’s Catholic School in Conshohocken, ma., in June 1966. He joined the United States Army in April 1968 servLQJ KLV FRuQWUy SURuGOy IRU 11 yHDUV VHUYLQJ PDQy duty stations overseas and state side. Jim was honorDEOy GLVFKDUJHG RQ ASULO 1979 at Fort Sill and made Lawton his home.
James married Mary blizabeth Schumann, his childhood sweetheart since the secRQG JUDGH, on July 8, 1967, in North Wales, ma. He attended Cameron University, where KH JUDGuDWHG wLWK D B.6. LQ EuVLQHVV PDQDJHPHQW on May 5, 1984. James worked as a market analyst for Southern Sales until his retirement on Feb. 23, 2011. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of WKH .QLJKWV RI CROuPEuV, wKHUH KH wDV D 4WK DHJUHH .QLJKW.
