DUI … Dane Conley, 18, of Turner Avenue, Roslyn, was charged with driving uNGHR WKH LNfluHNFH RI DOcohol or a controlled substance, careless driving, reckless driving and related charges April 4 after police responded to the report that a Ford Explorer drove onto the front lawn and steps of a property in the 2400 block of Norwood Avenue at 3:43 a.m., police said. The vehicle reversed and hit a utility pole and then drove away from the scene, police said. Police followed a trail of oil on the roadway to the 2700 block Turner Avenue, where they observed the vehicle turning into a driveway, police said. Conley said he lost control of the vehicle, which caused the crash, police said. Police observed that Conley was lethargic and had red, glassy eyes, police said. He was transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital for blood testing, police said. Tests showed he had marijuana in his system, police said.
Receiving stolen property … Ramin Mobasseri, 25, of Anderson Road, King of Prussia, was charged with receiving stolen property and retail theft April 26 after Bloomingdale’s security observed Mobasseri select four Burberry coats, valued at $2,780, and leave the store without paying at the Bloomingdale’s in the Willow Grove Park mall 2:28 p.m., police said. He was then apprehended and transported to the Abington Police Department for processing, police said.
Retail theft … Shavonna McCullen, 20, of North 10th Street, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft and possession, receiving stolen property and possessing an instrument of crime April 28 at 4:45 p.m. after police observed McCullen select $470 worth of merchandise and conceal the items in a booster bag, which was lined with duct tape, and place the bag in her purse, police said. She then attempted to leave the store without paying but was apprehended by security who recovered the merchandise, police said. She was later transported to the Abington Police Department for processing, police said.
DUI … Laura J. Shelinsky, 26, of Leona Avenue, Huntingdon Valley, was charged with driving under WKH LNfluHNFH RI DOFRKRO RR a controlled substance April 21 after police observed a blue sedan suddenly stop on Huntingdon Pike and make a right turn from the far left lane into a gas station, police said. Authorities also observed the vehicle had expired registration, police said. The vehicle was stopped at Huntingdon Pike and Roseland Avenue, and police detected the odor of alcohol coming from her mouth, police said. SheOLNVNy IDLOHG fiHOG VRERLHWy tests and was transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital for blood testing, police said. Tests showed her BAC was 0.106 percent, police said.

CDUUying D fiUHDUP without a license … Alexander Young, 21, of Norwood Avenue, Roslyn, was charged ZLWK FDRRyLNJ D fiRHDRP without a license and related charges May 15 after police observed a Chevrolet truck make a right turn onto Woodland Road without using a turn signal at 12:41 a.m., police said. The vehicle was stopped at Woodland Road and Highland Avenue, and after a check, authorities learned Young’s license was suspended, police said. During a pat down, police FRNfiVFDWHG D EODFN VHPLautomatic handgun from his shorts pocket that he did have a permit to carry, police said. He was transported to the Abington Police Department for processing, police said.
Retail theft … Kay Massey, 41, of Adams Avenue, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft and possession and receiving stolen property May 15 after the store manager at the Abington Pharmacy in the 1400 block of Old York Road observed Massey select and conceal $112.23 worth of merchandise in her purse and exit the store with paying at 3:27 p.m., police said. Possession … Darrick C. Keith, 23, of Arline Avenue, Roslyn, was charged with possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia May 16 after police observed an occupied white Toyota sedan parked at Clearview and Washington avenues at 12:06 a.m., police said. Keith was immediately taken into custody due to an outstanding warrant, police said. While being detained, authorities detected the odor of marijuana coming from his person, police said.
