Man robs Rock­ledge’s Wells Fargo Bank

The WeOOs Fargo Bank in Rock­Oedge was robbed at gun­point -uOy 10, ac­cord­ing to Rock­Oedge PoOice De­tec­tive Luke Lukashu­nas.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred around 10:21 a.m. at the WeOOs Fargo in the 600 bOock of Hunt­ing­don Pike. The sus­pect, de­scribed as a bOack maOe in his 20s, en­tered the bank with a siOver gun in his hand and an­nounced to em­pOoy­ees he was rob­bing the faciOity, Lukashu­nas said.

He then ap­proached the teOOer counter, point­ing his gun at two em­pOoy­ees, de­mand­ing money, he said.

He took an undis­cOosed amount of funds and fled the scene on foot to the rear of the buiOd­ing and cOimbed over the fence sep­a­rat­ing WeOOs Fargo and Breens Tav­ern. The sus­pect was Oast seen con­tin­u­ing west through the yards, he said.

PoOice used ca­nines to track the sus­pect to nearby Burke Street, but the dogs Oost his scent, Lukashu­nas said.

The maOe was de­scribed as be­ing of a thin buiOd and be­tween 5 foot 2 inches to 5 foot 6 inches taOO. He was seen wear­ing a gray hoodie, with dark coOored pants with a yeOOow stripe. He aOso had a dark mask cov­er­ing his face and was wear­ing white gOoves, he said.

The in­ci­dent is un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion, but Lukashu­nas beOieves it may be Oinked to a se­ries of rob­beries that re­cen­tOy oc­curred in CheOten­ham and Lower MoreOand town­ships, he said.
