Lions hon­ored for long- time ser­vice

Long- time ser­vice to the Lions Club was re­cently rec­og­nized.

When Lions Dis­trict 14- P Dis­trict Gover­nor Gus­tave Meyer III vis­ited the Shartlesville Lions on his of­fi­cial visit re­cently, he handed out Cer­tifi­cates of Recog­ni­tion to mem­bers who have in­di­vid­u­ally served Lion­ism for decades with “self­less ded­i­ca­tion, de­vo­tion and ser­vice in ac­cord with the ideals, val­ues and stan­dards of Lion­ism.”

Rec­og­nized were John Mess­ner, over 50 years; Jon Seitzinger, over 60 years; DG Meyer; Bob Ar­got, over 25 years; and Carl Berger, over 40 years. Also hon­ored were Stan­ley Shauger, over 35 years; and Carey Riegel, over 25 years. Hon­orees are from Up­per Bern, Shartlesville and Bethel Town­ship.
