The Ham­burg of­fense had an­other dif­fi­cult week that re­sulted in a 14- 0 non­league de­feat to Pan­ther Val­ley in Lans­ford on Sept. 1.

The Hawks ( 0- 2) were shut out af­ter fall­ing 14- 7 to Na­tiv­ity in its opener.

Pan­ther Val­ley’s Tyler Baez caught a 31yard touch­down pass from QB Hunter Kennedy for a 6- 0 lead in the sec­ond quar­ter. The Pan­thers sealed it on an in­ter­cep­tion re­turn for a touch­down by Jonathan Hafer in the fourth quar­ter. PV ( 2- 0) con­verted a two- point con­ver­sion for the fi­nal mar­gin.

Ham­burg man­aged just 110 yards to­tal of­fense and to­taled seven first downs.

Bren­dan Hamil­ton rushed 12 times for 55 yards to lead Ham­burg, and Lo­gan Her­ber gained 40 yards on 12 car­ries.

Justin Con­tr­eras had four re­cep­tions for 27 yards.

Ham­burg next hosts Lit­tlestown in its home opener on Sept. 8 at 7 p. m.
