Cel­e­brate the 500th An­niver­sary of the Lutheran Re­for­ma­tion on Oct. 29 with Bow Tie and Scarf Day. Wear your fa­vorite bow tie or scarf. Com­plete en­sem- ble with hats and gloves. Some bow ties and scarves will be avail­able at back of church.

Wor­ship and Mu­sic Com­mit­tee and Church Coun­cil are dis­cussing adding a weekly Con­tem­po­rary Ser­vice to of­fer an ad­di­tional style of wor­ship. Fam­ily Wor­ship on Oct. 15 be a more con­tem­po­rary ser­vice. Adult and youth choirs pro­vide mu­sic. Pas­tor Jensen will of­fer a ser­mon and Ly­dia will of­fer a youth chat. Fol­low­ing 10: 15 ser­vice is a cof­fee fel­low­ship in the au­di­to­rium to talk about the ser­vice and dis­cuss adding con­tem­po­rary ser­vice.

Youth Re­for­ma­tion Event Oct. 15, 4- 7 p. m., St. Paul’s, Fleet­wood. Din­ner, youth ac­tiv­i­ties, and meet other youth in the Mis­sion District. Trans­porta­tion pro­vided. Per­mis­sion slips re­quired by Oct. 8.

Boscov’s Friends Help­ing Friends: Oct. 17, 9 a. m. to 11 p. m. Youth group is sell­ing Shop­ping Passes for $ 5 to be used on Oct. 8 at any Boscov’s lo­ca­tion. The pass pro­vides 25% off all day pur­chases and en­try in raf­fle draw­ings. All pro­ceeds ben­e­fit St. John’s youth group. See Ly­dia.

News­boys Con­cert: Dec. 15, 7 p. m. at Stabler Arena, Beth­le­hem. A night of Chris­tian bands fea­tur- ing the News­boys. $ 23.25 ( ticket and fees) must have 10+ peo­ple. We would like to pur­chase a block of tick­ets at a group rate. If in­ter­ested see Ly­dia Beck with pay­ment by Oct. 8. Trans­porta­tion can be ar­ranged. Per­mis­sion slips re­quired.

Kids Hal­loween Cos­tume Party: Oct. 22, 2: 30 - 4 p. m. Chil­dren in PreK5th grade in­vited to youth group spon­sored Hal­loween Party. Hal­loween games, food, and crafts. No scary or gory cos­tumes.

Acolytes, Cross- Bear­ers, Ban­ner Car­rier, and Youth Usher Train­ing: Oct. 22 fol­low­ing Wor­ship. Youth in Grades 4- 6 who would like to as­sist in wor­ship by be­ing an acolyte, cross- bearer, ban­ner car­rier or usher should con­tact Ly­dia Beck. This is a re­quire­ment for all Cat­e­chet­i­cal stu­dents. Youth will be added to ro­tat­ing schedule start­ing in Novem­ber.
