2d Corininthian 9: 8— God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work. The Stewardship committee is excited to invite the Congregation to a “Harvest of Celebration” on Sunday, Nov. 12. This celebration will follow the worship service. Weeks prior to this celebration we will have Temple Talks on Nov. 4 & Nov. 5 by members of the congregation. We will uplift the activities and ministries of St. John’s which will be followed by Fellowship with apple pie & ice cream, and drinks. Commitment cards will also be handed out.
Thrivent will host a Holiday Bazaar and Flea Market at St. John’s on Nov. 18 from 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. We are looking for donations of gently used items to be sold at the Flea Market. Place a price on your items. Your items can be dropped off on Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 p. m. or Nov. 17 from 8 a. m. to 8 p. m. Bring the items to the Church Street door. Fall Family Event: Duncan’s Corn Maze, 30 Quarry Rd., Robesonia Nov. 4 from 3: 30 - 6: 30 p. m. ( DATE CHANGE!!) The youth group would like to invite families of all ages to an evening of autumn fun. St. John’s has a reserved pavilion with campfire. Come for an evening of fall fellowship including roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. Anyone interested in doing the corn maze can do so at a discounted rate of $ 7 ( ages 6+) and free for children 5 and under. Disney Dreamin’ Choir Show: Nov. 10, 7 p. m. Popular Disney songs performed by vocal choirs, bell choirs, and instrumentalists. Free will offering to benefit future shows. Coffee and cookie fellowship following the performance.
Kids Disney Dinner: Nov. 10, 6 p. m. A magical evening for children in Preschool through Grade 5. Disney dinner will be served featuring Mickey’s Mac- n- Cheese and other Disney inspired foods and drink. There will be games and other fun Disney activities. Special guest appearance! Open to the public. Wear a Disney costume. Parents welcome to join us for the kids’ dinner as well. Cost per person ( child or adult) is $ 5. Space is limited.
