It was decided at the meeting in town hall on Monday evening that Borough Council will cosponsor the erection of an Honor Roll of citizens serving in the Armed Forces of the nation. Councilman Paul Heffner was named to head a committee of local civic, fraternal, religious and service organizations, which will determine the design, size and location of the board, and share in its cost.
Charles M. Kern, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Rufus E. Kern, South Third Street, Hamburg, will be ordained into the Christian ministry at special services to be held in St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday evening.
Charles Adams, county agent, was the guest of William R. Werley, at Exchange Club, yesterday. He spoke on “Farmer’s Parity.”
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Etchberger and sons moved from State Street, Hamburg, to Minersville, on Tuesday.
Pupils of Beghon School of Music will present their fifth annual recital in the former Moose Hall, South Fourth Street, Hamburg on Nov. 15.
Hamburg High School’s Hi- Y Club will take two photographs of any family with a son or relative in the armed forces, free of charge, as their part in the Snap Shots from Home League being sponsored by the Y. M. C. A.
