The Stewardship committee is excited to invite the Congregation to a Harvest of Celebration on Nov. 12 following the worship service. We will uplift the activities and ministries of St. John’s, followed by Fellowship with apple pie & ice cream, and drinks. Commitment cards will also be handed out.
Thrivent will host a Holiday Bazaar and Flea Market at St. John’s on Nov. 18 from 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. Looking for donations of gently used items to be sold at the Flea Market. Place a price on your items and drop off on Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 p. m. or Nov. 17 from 8 a. m. to 8 p. m. Bring items to the Church Street door. Can not accept clothing or shoes. Disney Dreamin’ Choir Show: Nov. 10, 7 p. m. Disney songs featuring vocal choirs, bell choirs, and instrumental pieces. Free will offering to benefit future shows. Coffee and cookie fellowship following the performance.
Kids Disney Dinner: Nov. 10, 6 p. m. for children in Preschool through Grade 5. Disney dinner served featuring Mickey’s Mac- nCheese and other Disney inspired foods and drink. Games and other fun Disney activities. Special guest appearance! Open to the public. Wear a Disney costume. Parents welcome to join us for the kids’ dinner as well. Harvest of Celebration: Giving Thanks for all that God Has Given Us, Nov. 12 following 10: 15 worship service. This Stewardship event is a chance for us to hear about the various ministries that our congregation is involved in and to look at our financial commitment to St. John’s mission for the coming year. There will be pies, ice cream and beverages served.
Nov. 19, Pastor Bruce Potteiger from Food for the Poor offers a message during worship service. Food for the Poor is Christian charity that helps to feed hundreds of thousands of people in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Pastor Potteiger, an ordained ELCA pastor, will give a presentation on Food for the Poor as well in an Adult Forum that morning in the Auditorium from 9- 10 a. m. Free will offering for Food for the Poor.
