2nd Corininthian 9: 8 — God is able to pro­vide you with ev­ery bless­ing in abun­dance, so that al­ways hav­ing enough of ev­ery­thing, you may share abun­dantly in ev­ery good work. The Ste­ward­ship com­mit­tee is ex­cited to in­vite the Con­gre­ga­tion to a Har­vest of Cel­e­bra­tion on Nov. 12 fol­low­ing the wor­ship ser­vice. We will up­lift the ac­tiv­i­ties and min­istries of St. John’s, fol­lowed by Fel­low­ship with ap­ple pie & ice cream, and drinks. Com­mit­ment cards will also be handed out.

Thrivent will host a Hol­i­day Bazaar and Flea Mar­ket at St. John’s on Nov. 18 from 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. Look­ing for do­na­tions of gen­tly used items to be sold at the Flea Mar­ket. Place a price on your items and drop off on Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 p. m. or Nov. 17 from 8 a. m. to 8 p. m. Bring items to the Church Street door. Can not ac­cept cloth­ing or shoes. Dis­ney Dreamin’ Choir Show: Nov. 10, 7 p. m. Dis­ney songs fea­tur­ing vo­cal choirs, bell choirs, and in­stru­men­tal pieces. Free will of­fer­ing to ben­e­fit fu­ture shows. Cof­fee and cookie fel­low­ship fol­low­ing the per­for­mance.

Kids Dis­ney Din­ner: Nov. 10, 6 p. m. for chil­dren in Preschool through Grade 5. Dis­ney din­ner served fea­tur­ing Mickey’s Mac- nCheese and other Dis­ney in­spired foods and drink. Games and other fun Dis­ney ac­tiv­i­ties. Spe­cial guest ap­pear­ance! Open to the pub­lic. Wear a Dis­ney cos­tume. Par­ents wel­come to join us for the kids’ din­ner as well. Har­vest of Cel­e­bra­tion: Giv­ing Thanks for all that God Has Given Us, Nov. 12 fol­low­ing 10: 15 wor­ship ser­vice. This Ste­ward­ship event is a chance for us to hear about the var­i­ous min­istries that our con­gre­ga­tion is in­volved in and to look at our fi­nan­cial com­mit­ment to St. John’s mis­sion for the com­ing year. There will be pies, ice cream and bev­er­ages served.

Nov. 19, Pas­tor Bruce Pot­teiger from Food for the Poor of­fers a mes­sage dur­ing wor­ship ser­vice. Food for the Poor is Chris­tian char­ity that helps to feed hun­dreds of thou­sands of peo­ple in 17 coun­tries through­out the Car­ib­bean and Latin Amer­ica. Pas­tor Pot­teiger, an or­dained ELCA pas­tor, will give a pre­sen­ta­tion on Food for the Poor as well in an Adult Fo­rum that morn­ing in the Au­di­to­rium from 9- 10 a. m. Free will of­fer­ing for Food for the Poor.
