Ham­burg’s wrestling team had a pro­duc­tive visit to Blooms­burg Uni­ver­sity Fri­day for the Bob Rohm Du­als

he Hawks went 4- 1 in the tour­ney, run­ning their sea­son record to a gaudy 8- 1. Their wins came against Trin­ity ( 51- 24), Sugar Val­ley Char­ter ( 78- 6), North Penn ( 51- 27) and Cen­tral Columbia ( 55- 15).

Ham­burg’s lone set­back of the day came at the hands of Muncy, 40- 21.

Shane Strausser, wrestling both at 126 and 132, swept his five bouts while Ben Wei­den­ham­mer pinned his way to a 4- 0 mark at 220 and 285. Parker David­son added a 4- 0 run at 106.

Other big per­form­ers for the Hawks were Austin Strunk at 285, Kyle Ver­non at 120 and 126 and Reese Ma­son at 170 and 182. All went 4- 1 in their con­tests.

Adam had 15 points and Corey Evan­ge­lista added 12 as the Hawks ( 0- 8) re­mained win­less on the sea­son. Adam went 5- for- 5 from the line and Evan­ge­lista was 9- for- 11.
