Dr. Amanda Machey to wed Stephen Motil III
Jerome and Deborah Machey, McAdoo, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda, to Stephen Motil III, son of Stephen Jr. and Lynette Motil, Nuremberg.
The bride-to-be is a 2010 distinguished graduate of Hazleton Area High School. She earned a B.S. degree in 2013 from Misericordia University in healthcare administration and a doctorate of physical therapy degree in 2016 from Misericordia University. She is employed by Genesis Rehab and Kindred Healthcare as a physical therapist. She is the granddaughter of Josephine Boris, Tresckow, and the late Richard Boris, and Elizabeth Machey, McAdoo, and the late John Machey.
The prospective groom, who resides in Plains Township, is a 2006 graduate of Hazleton Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, obtaining an AAS degree in fire science technology. He is employed by Plains Township Fire Department as a professional firefighter as well as Sugarloaf Fire Company as the Emergency Medical Services administrator. He is the grandson of the late Stephen and Edith Motil, Nuremberg, and the late David and Maryann Schweitzer, Yuma, Arizona.
The couple became engaged on the beaches of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and will exchange vows on May 19, 2018, in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, McAdoo.
