Woman ac­cused of card fraud

A Ta­maqua woman’s as­sis­tance card was used with­out her per­mis­sion at a bor­ough store and a Bar­nesville woman is ac­cused of the crime, po­lice say.

Ta­maqua po­lice charged Stephanie Par­lia­ment, 30, with ac­cess de­vice fraud, unau­tho­rized ac­cess de­vice and pos­sess­ing ac­cess de­vice know­ing it’s fraud.

She was re­leased on $5,000 un­se­cured bail Oct. 6 by Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge David Plachko, Port Car­bon.

Ar­rest pa­pers state Par­lia­ment used the vic­tim’s AC­CESS card to pur­chase $10.25 in goods at Fam­ily Dol­lar, 125 Cen­ter St., Ta­maqua, on Sept. 12 just be­fore 7 p.m.
