Woman accused of card fraud
A Tamaqua woman’s assistance card was used without her permission at a borough store and a Barnesville woman is accused of the crime, police say.
Tamaqua police charged Stephanie Parliament, 30, with access device fraud, unauthorized access device and possessing access device knowing it’s fraud.
She was released on $5,000 unsecured bail Oct. 6 by Magisterial District Judge David Plachko, Port Carbon.
Arrest papers state Parliament used the victim’s ACCESS card to purchase $10.25 in goods at Family Dollar, 125 Center St., Tamaqua, on Sept. 12 just before 7 p.m.
