Note that this year’s fall sausage supper has been changed to Nov. 4 to accommodate the church’s celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Re formation, which will include a luncheon following worship on Reformation Sunday, Oct. 29.
The luncheon will be catered, so those interested must sign up to ensure enough food is ordered.
The Learning Ministry Team is currently sponsoring a Reformation book fair. All the books pertain to Martin Luther, from his biography to his impact and the advancement of the reformation movement. Books are now on display in the St. Stephen’s Room. Orders must be in by Oct. 31.
Donations will be accepted throughout October for Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida to benefit animals affected by recent-hurricanes. Specially marked envelopes are located in the narthex.

■ Step-Up Tamaqua is hosting a special guest speaker Monday at 7 p.m. at Trinity UCC’s Founder Hall, 22 Lafayette St., Tamaqua.
Guardian Angel Recovery House co-owner/ director Darragh Ingrassia will share her personal recovery story and her work with Lisa Kiehl opening the recovery house for women in Hazleton.
Parking is available in the rear of the church. Founders Hall is on the ground floor. All are welcome. Step-Up Tamaqua is a project of the Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network, a 501c3 nonprofit. Contributions are welcome and can be sent to Step-Up Tamaqua, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua, PA 18252.
■ Zion Lutheran Church’s culinary team will host a pumpkin social Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or sell out.
Homemade pumpkin waffles and ice cream with caramel topping is the featured dessert. Pumpkin chili and pumpkin pie will also be available along with numerous homemade items. Takeouts will be available. Zion Lutheran Church is at Greenwood and Mauch Chunk streets, Tamaqua.

or Treat family event Oct. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. on Mauch Chunk Street, between Greenwood and Market streets.

■ Weatherly Area middle and high school choruses and bands are holding their annual Christmas Gertrude Hawk candy sale.
The sale will end Tuesday. Delivery will be Dec. 6 in the middle school band room from 2 to 4 p.m.

■ The Weatherly Area Community Library will hold a “Halloween Friday the 13th” story time today at 4:30 p.m.
Visitors can come make a fun craft, listen to a Halloween story and enjoy a snack.
■ The Weatherly Area Community Library is sponsoring a trip to the Hollywood Casino and the Hershey Outlets on Nov. 4.
The bus will depart from Eurana Park at 8 a.m. for the Hollywood Casino for 4 hours, and at approximately 1:30 p.m. will leave to arrive at the Hershey Outlets for 2 p.m. Those attending will then have time on their own until 6 p.m. Ar rival time home will be approximately 7:30 p.m.
The cost for the trip is $35 and rebates will be $30 slot play and $5 off the buffet at the casino.
Reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

These 1¼ pound containers filled with an assortment of cookies made by members and friends of the Methodist Church will sell for $8 per container.
Cookies will be packed on Dec. 14 beginning at 6 p.m. Members and friends making cookies should have the cookies at the church on Dec. 14 by 5 p.m.
