Informant helps cops collar dealer
Sony Rivera, 25, was jailed on a felony drug charge after Hazleton police worked with a confidential informant and arranged for a controlled drug buy near Second and Alter streets on Sept. 27, court papers state.
Police said in court records that an informant purchased two bundles of purported heroin from Rivera.
The material tested positive for heroin and fentanyl and weighed about 0.6 grams, with packaging, police said.
Rivera, of Alter Street, faces a felony charge of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, court records state. He was jailed at Luzerne County Correctional Facility after he was unable to post bail, police said.
