A borough man faces drug charges following a Nov. 13 incident, police said.

Richard Beers, 47, was a passenger in a vehicle that Wes Brown was allegedly driving erratically on Route 209 between Nesquehoning and Lansford. Brown, 46, of Catasauqua, faces similar charges, police said.

Police spotted the vehicle parked to the side of the road and spoke to the men. Officers noticed a pill bottle and searched the vehicle.

According to police, officers found heroin, methadone pills, methamphetamine, cocaine and clonazepam pills inside the car. Police also found a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine, packing material and digital scales.

Beers and Brown allegedly admitted they were on their way to deliver the drugs.

Beers was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, Lansford, on charges of criminal conspiracy; possession with intent to deliver; unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was arraigned on the same charges plus careless driving. Both men were freed on $20,000 unsecured bail.
