Sus­pended li­cense leads to charges

A man with a sus­pended li­cense was driv­ing a ve­hi­cle in Sum­mit Hill while in pos­ses­sion of drugs, bor­ough po­lice say.

Travis A. Walck, 28, Sum­mit Hill, faces charges of pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance and two sum­mary vi­o­la­tions for the June 29 in­ci­dent.

The charges were filed against him July 18 and is­sued via sum­mons, which he ac­cepted Thurs­day.

Po­lice said they stopped the ve­hi­cle he was driv­ing at Wal­nut and Ab­bott streets af­ter notic­ing the regis­tra­tion lights weren’t on.

Walck was driv­ing with a sus­pended li­cense and a wal­let in­side the car con­tained 15 pack­ets of sus­pected heroin, court pa­pers state.
