Patriots: Star tight end Rob Gronkowski will be sidelined for the third time in four games when the Patriots take on Tennessee on Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.
Gronkowski was limited in practice all week while continuing to deal with lingering back and ankle injuries. He missed last week’s win over Green Bay, but with a bye week coming would have the chance for plenty of rest ahead of a Nov. 25 game against the Jets.
Bills: The Bills ruled out rookie Josh Allen and announced that Matt Barkley is expected to start against the Jets.
Barkley gets the nod instead of turnover-prone Nathan Peterman despite having just two weeks of practice experience in Buffalo. He was signed Oct. 30 and will become the fourth quarterback to start for the team this season. It will be his first start in two years.
