Fire set in Romancoke Pier bathroom; no damage listed
ROMANCOKE — The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that was set in the men’s bathroom at the Romancoke Fishing Pier.
A Queen Anne’s County Parks employee discovered burned paper products on the floor inside the men’s room at 8 a.m. May 22 and called police. The fire had burned itself out without damaging the 15’ x 10’ bathroom and storage building.
The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office responded and notified the fire marshal’s office, which ruled the cause of the fire as incendiary.
