Miltec Battery Division adds chemist
STEVENSVILLE — Miltec Corporation, 146 Log Canoe Circle, welcomes research and development chemist Allen Shariaty as the newest member of the Battery Division.
Prior to Miltec, he worked as a Research Chemist at the Institute for Energy Technology in Norway and a Research Technician at the University of Kentucky. In these positions, he gained valuable experience in the application of binders in lithium ion batteries, as well as implementing spray coating techniques for the fabrication of battery electrodes.
Shariaty graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky and is the primary inventor on a pending patent. The research he did at the University resulted in an opportunity for Sharaity to present at the 2016 International Meeting on Lithium Batteries, a premier international conference on the state of lithium battery science and technology.
Shariaty is relocating from Lexington, Ky., and is looking for ward to making Mar yland his home.
