QUEENSTOWN — Prospect Bay Country Club’s Artisan and Craft Fair returns on Sunday, Nov. 11, in a setting that has been steadily enhanced, both inside and out.

The fair, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., includes vendors, available lunch in the grill room, a raffle of items from all who are participating and more, as well as Prospect Bay’s Maryland crab and cream of crab soups for sale.

Items for sale include pottery, home decor, wreaths, jewelry and sea glass.

The natural beauty of the club’s setting has been embraced by the Landscape Enhancement Committee comprised of Cathy Tengwall, Susan Graves, Linda Elias, Ellen Finn, Sue Goward and Bobbie Bell.

With the approval of the PBCC’s board of directors, the committee began a process to enhance landscape of five areas surrounding the clubhouse.

Starting with the design of landscape architect Vernon Hustead of Stevensville and local artist Will Hemsley, the sculpture garden “Coming Home” was completed and dedicated in October 2017. Since then, the Pavilion at Prospect Bay was erected between the 18th hole of the golf course and the clubhouse.

By spring 2019, the lighthouse entrance to the community will have a new landscape to welcome members and guests.

To make these enhancements, the Landscape Enhancement Committee has depended on the support of the Prospect Bay community who has participated in a number of fundraising events, including raffles, duck races, silent auctions and paint nights.

Prospect Bay Country Club is at 311 Prospect Bay Drive West, Grasonville.
