Kutztown Com­mu­nity Part­ner­ship will host its an­nual meet­ing at Trin­ity Lutheran church on Feb. 15. All res­i­dents are in­vited to at­tend and of­fer com­ments and ques­tions.

For the sec­ond time the or­ga­ni­za­tion of the year award will be pre­sented. This honor is given to any or­ga­ni­za­tion that con­trib­utes to the Kutztown com­mu­nity in a sig­nif­i­cant way dur­ing the pre­vi­ous year. The KCP vol­un­teer of the year award will be be­stowed for the third time. A KCP vol­un­teer will re­ceive this ac­knowl­edg­ment for go­ing above and be­yond in fur­ther­ing KCP’s mis­sion.

KCP is an in­de­pen­dent non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion founded to help build com­mu­ni­ca­tion and co­op­er­a­tion be­tween el­e­ments of the com­mu­nity such as schools, busi­nesses, towns­peo­ple, stu­dents and the univer­sity. Among its many ac­tiv­i­ties, KCP runs spe­cial events in­clud­ing Main Street Clean Up, Kutztown Strong, Com­mu­nity Block Party, Kutztown Kruizz and Com­mu­nity Meet and Greet.

Dur­ing the meet­ing, op­er­a­tion chairs will cite their ac­com­plish­ments for the year. KCP pres­i­dent Jerry Sc­hearer will ex­plain KCP’s ac­tiv­i­ties for the past year and goals for 2017 and the bud­get will be de­tailed. An open ques­tion and an­swer ses­sion will fol­low.

The meet­ing will start at 6 p.m. at Trin­ity Lutheran church 357 West Main Street. There will be light re­fresh­ments. RSVP at KCP@home­townu.com.
