A ve­hi­cle struck a pole, went down an em­bank­ment and rolled af­ter the teen driver be­came dis­tracted while look­ing for a dropped cell phone.

State Po­lice Read­ing re­port that at 11:12 p.m. on Feb. 17, Jenna Treese, 18, Fleet­wood, was driv­ing east on Price­town Road when she dropped her cell phone and looked for it. At this time, her 2009 Toyota Sienna trav­eled off the right side of the road­way and struck a tele­phone pole. Af­ter strik­ing the pole, the ve­hi­cle trav­eled down an em­bank­ment and rolled onto its driver’s side.

Treese and her 16-yearold pas­sen­ger for trans­ported to the hos­pi­tal for pos­si­ble in­juries. Both were wear­ing seat­belts.

Treese was is­sued a ci­ta­tion for care­less driv­ing for look­ing for her cell phone af­ter drop­ping it and for not driv­ing on road­ways laned for traf­fic.

As­sist­ing at the scene were Ruscombmanor Fire Com­pany and Al­sace Fire Com­pany.
