The small town of Leesport was set­tled in 1840, and the Leesport Area His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety started shar­ing the his­tory of their town in 2003. Dex­ter Men­gel, Sec­re­tary of the LAHS will present a power point pro­gram high­light­ing the 1930’s print shop, Leesport ar­ti­facts and Sun­ners soft­ball team. July 11 “Cap­ture the Mo­ment” Dig­i­tal Pho­tog­ra­phy: Bring your elec­tronic de­vice (I-pod, Pad, Cell or Smart­phone) to the Berks County Her­itage Cen­ter at 6:30 p.m. and ex­plore the park, learn­ing how to shoot great pho­tos out­doors.
