Caleb Ed­ward Link, 25, of Ham­burg

Caleb Ed­ward Link, 25, of Ham­burg, for­merly of Get­tys­burg, passed away un­ex­pect­edly on Mon­day, June 19, 2017 at his par­ents’ res­i­dence.

Born Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 13, 1991 at Get­tys­burg Hos­pi­tal, he was a son of J. Allen and Christy (Scott) Link, both of Ham­burg.

Caleb had many pas­sions, in­clud­ing his cho­sen oc­cu­pa­tion as a sound and light tech­ni­cian. He loved to say his job was sim­ply “pushy things, slidey things and twisty things,” and was fond of prac­ti­cally any­thing with ca­bles. He was also a devoted fan of Doc­tor Who and the BBC, in ad­di­tion to For­mula One, and was look­ing for­ward to an ex­pe­ri­ence driv­ing in an ex­otic car this Sun­day. In his last weeks he en­joyed many hours fly­ing and re­pair­ing his re­mote-con­trolled quad­copter and play­ing with his young cousins Aria and Evan Cham­ber­lin, who he adored.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Caleb is sur­vived by three sis­ters, Jethra D. Link of Ber­rien Springs, MI, Jes­sica D. Link of Ber­rien Springs, MI, Jus­tine D. Link of Claryville, NY; ma­ter­nal grand­par­ents, Ge­orge and Peggy Scott of Lit­tlestown; pa­ter­nal grand­mother Bar­bara Link of Get­tys­burg; pa­ter­nal grand­fa­ther, James Link of Rome, GA; five aunts and un­cles, un­cle, Harvey Scott, un­cle, Mark Link, aunt, Wanda Cham­ber­lin, aunt, Lori Foltz, un­cle Tere Brad­well; many lov­ing cousins, ex­tended fam­ily mem­bers and friends.

A memo­rial ser­vice to cel­e­brate the life of Caleb Ed­ward Link will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sun­day, June 25, 2017 at the Ham­burg Com­mu­nity Sev­enth Day Ad­ven­tist Church, 22 Wil­low Rd., Ham­burg, PA 19526 with Pas­tor Alex Du Bee of­fi­ci­at­ing. A time to share mem­o­ries with the fam­ily will be on Sun­day from 1:00 p.m. un­til the time of ser­vice at the church.

The fam­ily re­spect­fully re­quests memo­rial do­na­tions in honor of Caleb be made to the Go Fund Me ac­count, https://www.go­­rial-fund, set up to help the fam­ily de­fray ex­penses at this mourn­ful time. Any ad­di­tional funds raised will be di­rected to Blue Moun­tain Academy’s elite tour­ing choir Bel Canto, which Caleb was proud to be a mem­ber of for three years.
