Paul D. “Red” Di­et­rich Sr., 90, of Perry Town­ship, passed away on July 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Read­ing. Born in Read­ing, PA on April 1, 1927, he was a son of the late Hat­tie S. (Kohler) and Wal­ter C. Di­et­rich. He was the wid­ower of Mae I. (O’Meara).

Paul worked as a Car In­spec­tor for 49 years at the Read­ing Rail­road and Con­rail. He was also a Perry Town­ship Su­per­vi­sor for 41 years and a life-long farmer.

Paul is sur­vived by two daugh­ters, Loretta Cor­rell and Ju­dith Fron­ina, and a son, Paul D. Di­et­rich Jr., hus­band of Roseann Di­et­rich. He is also sur­vived by 4 grand­chil­dren: Louis Fron­ina Jr. and Sheila, Lisa and Laura Di­et­rich, and 2 great­grand­sons: Is­sac and Ian Davis.

He was pre­de­ceased by two daugh­ters: Mar­garet M. and Dr. Pa­tri­cia D. Di­et­rich; four broth­ers: Homer G., John T., Daniel K. and Wal­ter C. Di­et­rich, and one half-sis­ter Elsie Di­et­rich.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life was held on Fri­day, July 7 at John P. Feeney Fu­neral Home, Read­ing, PA and in­tern­ment was at Fairview Ceme­tery, Kutz­town, PA.
