Rob­bery sus­pect in cus­tody

Larry Houser, 24, Wy­omiss­ing, faces charges for BB&T Bank and Turkey Hill rob­beries

A sus­pect was taken into cus­tody on Sept. 29 for the rob­beries at BB&T Bank and Turkey Hill Con­ve­nience Store in Fleet­wood.

Fleet­wood Po­lice re­port that Larry Houser, 24, Wy­omiss­ing, was foren­si­cally linked to a rob­bery that oc­curred at Turkey Hill on Sept. 27 and an ar­rest war­rant was is­sued. Houser turned him­self in to Fleet­wood Po­lice and was in cus­tody with­out in­ci­dent on Sept. 29.

Fleet­wood Po­lice re­port that Houser will be also charged with the rob­bery at BB&T Bank, 46 West Main St. Fleet­wood, that oc­curred on Sept. 23.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, on Sept. 23, a man with his face cov­ered by a mask en­tered BB&T Bank on the Main Street side. He was wear­ing a Buf­falo Bills jacket with a hood that was blued and red in color, as well as gray sweat­pants and white shoes that had a blue thick ac­cent al­most like a band or strap. Sus­pect is de­scribed as 5 foot 7 inches tall and weigh­ing about 170 to 200 pounds. The sus­pect fled the bank with an undis­closed amount of money, leav­ing the bank on the Rich­mond Street side. He was last seen head­ing south­bound on Rich­mond Street.

Po­lice re­port that at about 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 27 a man en­tered the Turkey Hill Con­ve­nience Store at 133 W. Main St., Fleet­wood, and pre­sented the clerk with a note which re­quested that she pro­vide him with the money in the cash reg­is­ter. The sus­pect did not dis­play a weapon, how­ever, he im­plied that he had one in his pocket. The sus­pect fled the store on foot with an undis­closed amount of cash. The sus­pect was de­scribed as a man just over 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wear­ing a dark green jacket and cov­ered his face with a pur­ple scarf or ban­danna. The sus­pect had short hair with a buzz cut style.
