St. John’s participates in God’s Work, Our Hands
Volunteers paint benches at Kutztown Park bandshell
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kutztown participated in the ELCA initiative “God’s Work, Our Hands” which encourages Lutheran church members to get involved in giving back to the community. On Sunday, Sept. 10, 17 members of St. John’s congregation provided the man-womanand-and-young-adult-power to begin repainting the benches in the bandshell at Kutztown Park. The Borough of Kutztown provided the paint, brushes and other supplies, but these folks went out and did the work. When the day was over, Pastor MaryAnn Hamm called several other area churches and challenged them to help finish the job.
