MOUNTAIN VIEW — Two East Palo Alto residents and a San Jose woman have been arrested in connection with a homeinvasion robbery reported Wednesday in the North Whisman area, according to police.

Police were called to An- nie Laurie Avenue, between Devonshire and Murlagan avenues , around 3 p.m. by a woman who said a man had hit her on the head with a gun and that he and a woman had shoved her into a closet after forcibly entering her home.

The suspects left the area before officers arrived, but members of the Mountain View Police Department and the Santa Clara County Regional Auto Theft Task Force later spotted them going in and out of stores in a shopping center at Story and King roads in San Jose, according to police.

Detectives stopped Christian Salinas, 23, and Giovanna Vargas, 21, both of East Palo Alto, and Nancy Alvarado, 22, of San Jose, as they drove away from the center. A loaded handgun and items that had been taken in the home-invasion robbery were found in their car, according to police.

Police said the trio was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for charges including burglary, robbery, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. In addition, Salinas and Vargas were booked for a probation violation and Alvarado for conspiracy. Salinas, Vargas and Alvarado were being held without bail Thursday, according to police.
