Multicar crash kills 1, injures 3
San Jose woman, 21, pronounced dead at scene
SAN JOSE — One person died and three others were injured in a three-vehicle collision in East San Jose.
The crash was reported around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McLaughlin Avenue and Summerside Drive, said San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia.
One woman was pronounced dead at the scene and three others were taken to area hospitals with non- life- threatening injuries.
The woman who died was identified as Marleen Sanabria Martinez, 21, of San Jose.
One of the victims had to be extricated, but it wasn’t immediately clear if it was the same person who died.
Additional details about the collision, including a possible cause, were not immediately available.
The traffic fatality is the 36th of the year in San Jose.
