Indivisible San Jose shows off democracy in action

As active members of Indivisible San Jose (ISJ) we read “Fighting Back” (Page 1A, May 18) with great pride.

ISJ, one of 58 Indivisible chapters within a 20-mile radius of our Zip code, now has close to 350 members.

Many in our group had never been politically active, other than to vote, before the last election.

ISJ members engage in fighting the Trump agenda by letter writing, calling and/or meeting with our representatives, tracking legislation and votes, participating in marches and town halls and following the Indivisible Guide.

This is democracy in action. We are energized and we are here to stay. Rebecca Elliot
