A proposal to solve mass homicide problem

The Mercury News Weekend - - OPINION -

Since there appears to be no political will to address the national shame of out- of- control weapons of mass homicide, but there is some interest in preventing the mentally ill from obtaining guns, I have a modest proposal. The American Psychiatry Association should add another disorder to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders: gun obsession, and prima facie evidence of this mental illness is the desire to own or having more than one firearm. There, problem solved. — David Vossbrink, Sunnyvale
