Presentation High is worthy of support

The Mercury News Weekend - - OPINION -

I write in support of Mary Miller and Presentation High School. I am a graduate of the class of 1985 and both daughters are alumnae. I attribute much of my personal strength and professional success to the school. We are taught to serve our community and have compassion for all human beings. My family and I in no way want to discredit any individuals who may have suffered sexual harassment while at the school; we believe Mary Miller is being unfairly targeted.

My daughter also suffered sexual harassment from a fellow student while attending. When she finally brought the issue to the attention of the administration, appropriate steps were taken and it was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. Mary Miller and the staff were instrumental in beginning her healing process. — Peggy Cirone Shaw, San Jose
