Practical solutions lacking in social justice quest
The outcry for social change continues but sadly few practical solutions have been offered.
One would be to eliminate public-sector unions which provide the biggest roadblock to firing the few incompetent police, teachers and civil servants. Second would be the reimagining of Public Housing to eliminate the segregated ghettos seen in far too many cities.
These impediments to crossrace understanding perpetuate hurdles in employment, education, and upward mobility within society.
Unfortunately, the powers that be are blinded to the potential for change here since they are the direct beneficiaries of the status quo that keeps them in office.
So they stir the pot pitting the races against each other, diverting attention from real change.
