Ryan Nu­gent-Hop­kins and Con­nor McDavid each had two goals for the Ed­mon­ton Oilers in their 8-2 vic­tory over the Ve­gas Golden Knights on Tues­day night.

Os­car Klef­bom, Pa­trick Ma­roon, Matt Ben­ning and Mark Letestu also scored for the Oilers, who snapped a two-game skid.

Pierre-Edouard Belle­mare and James Neal had the goals for the ex­pan­sion Golden Knights, who have lost three of four.

Ed­mon­ton got off to a good start with a short­handed goal 6 min­utes into the first pe­riod when Klef­bom con­verted a 2-on-1 pass from Ju­jhar Khaira to beat Ve­gas goalie Maxime La­gace..

PENGUINS 5, SABRES 4 >> Sid­ney Crosby ended a long goal drought and as­sisted on Conor Sheary’s gamewin­ner 16 sec­onds into over­time as Pitts­burgh beat Buf­falo.

Crosby scored his sixth of the sea­son, Sheary had a pair of goals and Pa­tric Horn­qvist added one for Pitts­burgh. Phil Kes­sel got his eighth of the sea­son and has goals in four straight games. Kes­sel, the team’s lead­ing scorer, has at least one point in five straight games and 16 of 20 this sea­son.

CANUCKS 3, KINGS 2 >> Sven Baertschi scored the tiebreak­ing goal on a power play early in the third pe­riod and Van­cou­ver wrapped up a four-game road trip by send­ing Los An­ge­les to its third con­sec­u­tive loss.

JETS 4, COYOTES 1 >> Con­nor Helle­buyck made 32 saves and Win­nipeg de­feated Ari­zona for its se­cond vic­tory over the strug­gling Coyotes in four days. On a night when the Jets in­ducted Dale Haw­er­chuk into their Hall of Fame and lifted his No. 10 ban­ner to the rafters, the home team eas­ily han­dled the fran­chise that moved from Win­nipeg to Ari­zona 21 years ago.

Dub­nyk’s third shutout of the sea­son stretched his score­less streak to 195:05, break­ing his mark of 183:16 set last sea­son for the long­est in team history. KINGS DEAL CAMMALLERI TO OILERS FOR JOKINEN >> The Ed­mon­ton Oilers have ac­quired Mike Cammalleri from the Los An­ge­les Kings in ex­change for Jussi Jokinen.

The 35-year-old Cammalleri is in his 15th sea­son and had three goals and four as­sists in 15 games since join­ing the Kings as a free agent this sum­mer. This will be Cammalleri’s third stint in Al­berta. He played for the Cal­gary Flames twice in 2008-09, and again from 2011 to 2014.
