On Oct 2nd, Jess A. Sanchez passed away peace­fully in his sleep. He was 99 years old. He was born in Santa Bar­bara. He moved to Santa Clara County and worked as a bar­ber for 40 years. He owned a shop at the Moon­light Shop­ping Cen­ter. He served in the Army dur­ing WWII. He was an ad­vit out­doors­man who en­joyed camp­ing, fish­ing, div­ing, weightlift­ing and ski­ing. He was an ac­tive mem­ber of the Most Holy Trin­ity Church in San Jose. He vol­un­teered as an usher and was known as the Candy Man, be­cause he would give candy to chil­dren af­ter Mass. The vei­wing will be held on Oct 16 at the Martinez Fam­ily Mor­tu­ary in San Jose 6-9 pm. Mass will be held at the Most Holy Trin­ity Church on Oct 17th, 10-11 am. The burial will be right af­ter Mass at Cav­a­lier Ceme­tery in San Jose, then the re­cep­tion will be at the Most Holy Trin­ity Church 1230-1430. All friends and fam­ily mem­bers are wel­comed.
