On Oct 2nd, Jess A. Sanchez passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was 99 years old. He was born in Santa Barbara. He moved to Santa Clara County and worked as a barber for 40 years. He owned a shop at the Moonlight Shopping Center. He served in the Army during WWII. He was an advit outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, diving, weightlifting and skiing. He was an active member of the Most Holy Trinity Church in San Jose. He volunteered as an usher and was known as the Candy Man, because he would give candy to children after Mass. The veiwing will be held on Oct 16 at the Martinez Family Mortuary in San Jose 6-9 pm. Mass will be held at the Most Holy Trinity Church on Oct 17th, 10-11 am. The burial will be right after Mass at Cavalier Cemetery in San Jose, then the reception will be at the Most Holy Trinity Church 1230-1430. All friends and family members are welcomed.
