Son received great care in ER at PMMC

-

I wanted to take the time to recognize the staff in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center ER Department on Sept. 11 at approximately 4 p.m. My son was hit with a rock during his birthday party at Victory Park in Royersford and required a trip to the ER where everyone from the receptionist and security guards to his physician’s assistant, Kaitlin, and nurse, Lauren, took such great care of him. He received five staples to the cut in his head and for a 6-year-old handled it so well I believe based solely on TLC from everyone. We were in and out in an hour and able to get back to his party to blow out candles by 5:30 p.m.

We just wanted to say thank you again. Also a sincere thank you to the Royersford police officer and EMTs from Friendship that responded. You were all so kind, thank you for everything; I apologize for not getting your names.

Now to the other family at the park that day, it’s very disappointing to me that not one adult from your party who saw my son bleeding from his head took the time to ask if he was OK, you all just simply looked the other way as he ran by you. It’s incredibly sad to me that this is acceptable behavior for some people. — Samantha Tulish Royersford
