Lane closures scheduled on Route 422
LOWER POTTSGROVE » Drivers can expect right-lane closures on Route 422 starting Monday, according to PennDOT.
Westbound Route 422 motorists will encounter the closures in Lower Pottsgrove Township for construction activities related to a project to rebuild 1.6 miles of Route 422 and construct new structures over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. Work on the entire project is scheduled to finish in October 2018. The work schedule is: • Monday, Sept. 18, and Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on westbound Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges; and
• Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on westbound Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.
