Lane clo­sures sched­uled on Route 422

LOWER POTTS­GROVE » Driv­ers can ex­pect right-lane clo­sures on Route 422 start­ing Mon­day, ac­cord­ing to Pen­nDOT.

West­bound Route 422 mo­torists will en­counter the clo­sures in Lower Potts­grove Town­ship for con­struc­tion ac­tiv­i­ties re­lated to a project to re­build 1.6 miles of Route 422 and con­struct new struc­tures over the Schuylkill River and Nor­folk South­ern rail­road tracks. Work on the en­tire project is sched­uled to fin­ish in Oc­to­ber 2018. The work sched­ule is: • Mon­day, Sept. 18, and Tues­day, Sept. 19, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., the right lane is sched­uled to close on west­bound Route 422 be­tween the Sanatoga and Ar­mand Ham­mer Boule­vard in­ter­changes; and

• Tues­day, Sept. 19, from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m., the right lane is sched­uled to close on west­bound Route 422 be­tween the Sanatoga and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) in­ter­changes.

Driv­ers are ad­vised to al­low ex­tra time when trav­el­ing through the work ar­eas. The con­trac­tor’s sched­ule is de­pen­dent on the weather.
