Po­lice in­ves­ti­gate body found in Pike Town­ship

PIKE TOWN­SHIP >> State Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter a body was found along Dot­terer Road in this sparsely pop­u­lated Berks County com­mu­nity.

On Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 12, at 6 a.m., Penn­syl­va­nia State Po­lice at Read­ing were dis­patched to Dot­terer Road for the re­port of an uniden­ti­fied body lay­ing along the road.

Po­lice said a hunter had found the body and called po­lice.

The Penn­syl­va­nia State Po­lice ma­jor case team and the Berks County Coro­ner’s of­fice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.

An au­topsy is sched­uled for Satur­day, Oct. 13, at 8 a.m. at Read­ing Hospi­tal.
