Jonathan S. Fink of Pottstown
Jonathan S. Fink, 96, of Pottstown, widower of Martha S. (Samsel) Fink, passed away on Wednesday at Sanatoga Center.
Born in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late E. Frank Fink and the late Minnie E. (Sherman) Mintzer.
He was a 1940 graduate of Pottstown High School.
Jonathan worked as an electrical engineer for Sanders & Thomas for 40 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to that, he worked in the drafting department at Bethlehem Steel.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Jonathan was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Pottstown, the Pottstown Kiwanis, Chest-Mont Jubilaries, Sanatoga Post #224 American Legion, served on the Pottsgrove School Board, and was active in the boy scouts.
He is survived by a son, Robert J. Fink and his wife Carol, North Wales; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Janet L. Rogers, a sister Mary Rice, and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at St. James Lutheran Church, 1101 E. High St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Kay Bender Braun. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
