BUTTERFLIES AND GARDENS: John Himmelman author, illustrator and cofounder of the CT Butterfly Association, will present to the community “Butterflies and Their Gardens” answering many of the questions that are often asked about the lives and preferences of butterflies native to Connecticut, March 13, 7 p.m. at the Killingworth Firehouse, Route 81, Killingworth. DRIVE BY VIGIL: Trinity Episcopal Church will hold a Drive-by Vigil on Wednesday March 14, 5-8 p.m. to commemorate one month of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. All are invited to this lamentation that will be held in front of the church in the circular driveway. Candles will be lit in memory of the students, their families, and community that were affected by this tragedy, and for other various memorials. The Reverend Phil Bjornberg will be available at the candle lighting for prayer. Trinity Church is located at 345 Main St., Portland. BOARD GAMES WITH KIDS: East Hampton Senior Center members will play board games with fourth-graders on March 14 at 10 a.m. Sign up in Activity Book.
