Don’t take Christ out of Christmas

-

In my86years of life, it still amazes mehowmany people disregard the real meaning of Christmas. All they care about are high-tech, high-priced gadgets they will buy for each other.

Most people send cards, but 75% of the ones I receive are not mentioning Jesus or the Nativity. Instead, they have animals, cartoons, scenery and ugly art, none of which means Christmas to me.

A minister once told our congregation if you aren’t sending religious cards, please don’t send him one. He said, “Don’t take Christ out of Christmas.”

This is the season for peace on earth and goodwill toward all men. We should all try to get along and make the world a happy and peaceful place to live.

I want to wish all our troops, our president and all people whomGodhas created a very Merry Christmas. May God bless us all.
